Steve Job by Walter Isaacson pdf free download. In the early summer of , I got a phone call from Steve Jobs. He had been scattershot friendly to me over the years, with occasional bursts of intensity, especially when he was launching a new product that he wanted on the cover of Time or featured on CNN, places where I’d worked. But now that I was no longer at either of those places, I hadn’t heard from him much. We talked a bit about the Aspen Institute, which I had recently joined, and I invited him to speak at our summer campus in Colorado. He’d be happy to come, he said, but not to be onstage. He wanted instead to take a walk so that we could talk.

"FROM THE AUTHOR OF THE BESTSELLING BIOGRAPHIES OF BENJAMIN FRANKLIN AND ALBERT EINSTEIN, THIS IS THE EXCLUSIVE BIOGRAPHY OF STEVE JOBS. Based on more than forty interviews with Jobs conducted over two years--as well as interviews with more than a hundred family members, friends, adversaries, competitors, and colleagues--Walter Isaacson has written a riveting story of the roller-coaster life and searingly intense personality of a creative entrepreneur whose passion for perfection and ferocious drive revolutionized six industries: personal computers, animated movies, music, phones, tablet computing, and digital publishing. At a time when America is seeking ways to sustain its innovative edge, and when societies around the world are trying to build digital-age economies, Jobs stands as the ultimate icon of inventiveness and applied imagination. He knew that the best way to create value in the twenty-first century was to connect creativity with technology. He built a company where leaps of the imagination were combined with remarkable feats of engineering. Although Jobs cooperated with this book, he asked for no control over what was written nor even the right to read it before it was published. He put nothing off-limits. He encouraged the people he knew to speak honestly. And Jobs speaks candidly, sometimes brutally so, about the people he worked with and competed against. His friends, foes, and colleagues provide an unvarnished view of the passions, perfectionism, obsessions, artistry, devilry, and compulsion for control that shaped his approach to business and the innovative products that resulted. Driven by demons, Jobs could drive those around him to fury and despair. But his personality and products were interrelated, just as Apple's hardware and software tended to be, as if part of an integrated system. His tale is instructive and cautionary, filled with lessons about innovation, character, lead

“Steve Jobs” by Walter Isaacson By writing the article “STEVE JOBS”, the author-WALTER ISAACSON achieves biggest accomplishment which is the particularly exposure of one of the world’s most notable innovators of the 20th and 21st centuries. This book was not simply a biography, but an complicated dissection into the mind and psychological of a genius and revolutionary American businessman. What I liked most about the book were the first-hand accounts and encounters taken from Jobs and those who knew him. These quotes and stories really painted a big picture of how Jobs was perceived and how he interacted with his family, friends, and colleagues. There was no shortage of authentic, uncensored excerpts of Jobs’ rants of which Isaacson made sure to contradict when necessary. The fact that Isaacson provided the reader with the “other side of the story”, to me, granted him and his book respect. Favorite quote from the author: “The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones, who do” – STEVE JOBS Walter Isaacson conducted over 40 interviews with Steve Jobs on last 2 years until death. Here are 3 interesting things I find out from the summary: Steve Jobs’s team invented a name for his most important skill : the reality distortion field. Once Steve decided that something should happen, he would bend reality to his will until it came true. The Apple name was chosen for a very specific reason. Steve did not become billionaire by Apple, he became billionaire by Pixar. By , Steve’s total Pixar bill had racked up to a grand total of $50 million. He often considered selling it, until a deal with Disney came through to produce and distribute Toy Story in Grossing over $ million, the movie became the most successful movie of the entire year. This of course led to a very optimistic outlook for the company, which held its initial public offering on November 29, that year. The company’s stock was price
