    LEE Won-geun, born in 1991, had already made a short appearance as a child actor in <Bungee Jumping Of Their Own> (2001), but it is as a model that he really started his career. Having moved to acting in 2012 with a supporting role in the hit historical drama series <Moon Embracing the Sun>, his career took off when he was cast as the lead in high school drama series <Cheer Up!> (2015). His first role as a full-fledged actor in a feature film was in KIM Tae-yong’s indie drama film <MISBEHAVIOR> (2015). He gained critical recognition in 2016 for his lead performance in KIM Ki-duk’s thriller <THE NET> (2016) and won the Directors Week Best Actor Award at Fantasporto. Particularly busy in 2018, he played in no less than four films, including the indie drama <In Between Seasons>, as the lead, and blockbuster period piece <Feng Shui>, in a supporting role.     Lee Won-geun (born June 27, 1991) is a South Korean actor. He made his acting debut in the 2012 popular historical television drama Moon Embracing the Sun (2012) and is best known for starring in the high school drama Cheer Up! (2015) and One the Woman (2021), as well as the film Misbehavior (2017).

    Personal life

    Lee mandatory military service on June 13, 2019, in the National Police Agency Compulsory Police Sugyeong Military Service and was discharged from the conscripted police on January 7, 2021.
