John Travolta's Lawyer Fires Back At Conaway's Ex Over Groping Accusations
John Travolta's attorney has slammed reports suggesting his client attempted to grope his late Grease co-star Jeff Conaway during an awkward encounter six years ago.
Tragic Conaway's girlfriend Vicki Lizzi has gone public with the sensational claims in U.S. tabloid Globe in the same week as two unnamed masseurs both dropped sexual battery lawsuits against Travolta, in which they claimed the movie star had acted inappropriately during alleged spa sessions.
Lizzi tells the publication that the alleged groping incident that occurred at Conaway's California home came to light in a suicide note her late boyfriend wrote in 2006 before a failed attempt to take his own life. She claims the encounter put a strain on Travolta and Conaway's longtime friendship and drove them apart.
But the Pulp Fiction star's lawyer Singer insists the Lizzi interview is "reckless" and he has fired off an angry statement blasting the magazine's editors for publishing the report.
His statement, issued to Eonline.com, reads: "This spate of recklessly published tabloid stories is just part of a malicious tabloid agenda to boost lagging sales by running outrageous defamatory stories about my client sourced by people seeking notoriety or a payday."
Singer has also taken aim at Lizzi herself, adding, "Vicki Lizzi, the late Jeff Conaway's estranged girlfriend, has been a regular paid source... yet this is the very first time we are hearing this new outlandish story that is supposedly based on a six-year-old notarized suicide note.
"Vikki Lizzi sold more stories than we can count to (Globe parent company) Ami publications both before and after Jeff Conaway died (in May, 2011)."
Earlier this week, Singer was celebrating after the two masseurs dropped their lawsuits against his client, insisting Travolta had been "vindicated"

(SPOILER ALERT!!!)
- The hickeys on Rizzo’s neck were in fact real. Stockard Channing confirmed that Jeff Conaway (Kenickie) insisted on applying them himself.
- In the stage play, the song “Look At Me, I’m Sandra Dee” had a reference to Sal Mineo. For the film, the lyric was changed to reference Elvis Presley. Ironically, the song and the slumber party scene were filmed on August 16, 1977: the day that Elvis died.
- Jeff Conaway was so infatuated with Dame Olivia Newton-John (Sandy), that he got tongue-tied whenever she was around him. He ended up marrying her sister, Rona Newton-John.
- While shooting the “Greased Lightning” scene, Jeff Conaway was accidentally dropped and he injured his back. This jump-started his addiction to pain killers and prescription dug abuse.
- The song “Hopelessly Devoted To You” was written and recorded AFTER the whole film wrapped. It was in Dame Olivia Newton-John’s contract that she should have a solo song. At the time, nobody could come up with any ideas for her. However, Newton-John’s songwriter, John Farrar came up with the song halfway through the shoot. The film’s director, Randal Kleiser wasn’t completely on board with the song and had to create the perfect scene to put it in. The song ended up getting the film’s only Oscar nomination.
- While filming the Thunder Road scene, Annette Charles was suffering from an ectopic pregnancy. That’s why her character, Cha Cha can frequent

Early life
Conaway was born on October 5, 1950, in Manhattan, New York, and raised in the Astoria, Flushing, and Forest Hills neighborhoods of Queens.
His father, Charles, was an actor, producer, and publisher. His mother, Helen, an actress who went by the stage name Mary Ann Brooks, taught music at New York City's Brook Conservatory. They divorced when he was 3, and Conaway and his two older sisters lived with their mother.
He also spent time living with his grandparents in South Carolina, which gave him enough of a Southern accent that when he accompanied his mother to a casting call for director Arthur Penn's Broadway play All the Way Home, a story set in Knoxville, Tennessee, the 10-year-old Conaway landed a featured role as one of four boys. The 1961 Pulitzer Prize-winning play was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play and ra
