    ROTHKOPF, JULES SOLOMON

    ROTHKOPF--Jules Solomon, beloved husband of Phoebe J. Rothkopf, died peacefully on Sunday, August 22, 2010, in Bedford Hills, NY. Born on February 17, 1926, to Sarah and Abraham Rothkopf of Brooklyn, NY, Jules attended Boys High. He served his country as a Radioman 2nd class in the US Navy during WWII and attended the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, from which he graduated with honors in 1948. During a 42 year career as a Vice President with Oppenheimer & Co. Jules was beloved by colleagues and clients as a man of impeccable integrity, acuity and honor. He is survived by Phoebe, his cherished wife of 62 years, his daughter, Wendy Rothkopf, of New York, NY, his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Douglas Rothkopf and Dr. Holly Blatman-Rothkopf of Harvard, MA, and his three precious grandchildren, Ian, Sarah Jayne and Emma Rothkopf. He will be missed and loved for eternity. Funeral Services will be held at Riverside Memorial Chapel, 21 Broad St., Mt. Vernon, NY, 10am on Wednesday, August 25, 2010.
