Tom Brady News: Retired Football Star to Broadcast Super Bowl LIX

Tom Brady played in 10 Super Bowls during his NFL career, but the February 9 game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs will offer a new perspective. The year-old is making his bowl debut as a broadcaster, serving as color commentator with Kevin Burkhardt for Fox Sports, the big game’s TV host. Brady joined the network’s coverage this season as part of a year, $ million deal.

During a recent media conference call ahead of Super Bowl LIX, the three-time NFL MVP reflected on his first year in the booth and the learning curve he’s faced. “I love the ability to take the viewer inside of just the way that I see things. In some ways, it’s very simple. In some ways, it’s very complicated,” he said. “I feel as a crew, we’re all hitting our stride. We know each other better every week. Hopefully, this is our best game yet.”

Brady has more access to prepare for the Super Bowl compared to games earlier in the season. Because of his ownership stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, he previously hasn’t been allowed to attend team facilities for production meetings or criticize officials during games. However, those restrictions have been partially lifted for the championship.
